With the holiday season fast approaching I'd love to offer some giveaways for my readers, but with flying back for my dad's funeral, food allergies (and allergies period really), eczema and autism it's been a challenging financial year. I'm still planning a few giveaways in the coming weeks for the blog, but I'd love it if some businesses would like to Sponsor some giveaways. If for no other reason than for the sake of promoting their businesses and to help stretch people's hard earned dollars that much further this year as the cost of...well...everything pretty much...keeps going up.
And if you can't afford that (I worked for family for years so I KNOW how hard it is being a small business owner) how about just putting a post together about your tips for saving money this holiday season, write up a recipe of something you like to make around the holiday season or some crafty idea (or DIY project) and share it with the other blog readers to help them in that way. Trust me, tips on home made gifts and just sharing a bit of yourself can have more of an impact than you know :). And the best part is that if you are trying to expand your resume/portfolio, writing guest posts is a great way to do that. And if you are a blogger writing guests posts is a GREAT (and free!) way to promote your blog as well.
Just as an aside, yes I swallowed my pride to write this *laugh*. I hate admitting I'm broke as much as anyone else, but I'm doing this for the sake of my readers.
