AK Bargain Hunter Holiday Giveaway Bash: 5.00 Fred Meyer Giftcard!

Okay, so after swallowing my pride and admitting I was broke and calling out to people to sponsor giveaways or write guest posts I was hyped thinking of all the way cool stuff I could give away to you folks.

And then I heard a echoing silence back at me.

Soooo, I refuse to be discouraged by the lack of interest *holds finger aloft with purpose*.  I decided to spread myself outward and go to different folks that I love their site/products/services and just out and out asked them if they'd sponsor a giveaway on the blog.  I'm still waiting to hear back on that, but in the meantime I decided to kick the giveaway off myself with a not-as-great-as-I-would-have-liked type of giveaway, but you can be assured that it is heartfelt (as will be all the giveaways I sponsor myself here) and while it's not a huge amount of money, I hope that it will reach the hands of someone who can use it this holiday season as I know a LOT of people are strapped to the extreme this year.

And so, I am giving away a 5.00 Fred Meyer Giftcard.  For those of you reading from the Lower 48, this card can also be used at any Kroger affiliated store, so yes you can enter too (I mean a stamp is a stamp to mail it so why not :).

To enter this giveaway is simple.  Just respond to this post, and if you read this far (because I've been sort of excited and not read the fine print either *laugh*) tell us when and if your Christmas decorations are going up or if they are up yet :).

This giveaway will start today (Nov. 19th, 2011) and go till Nov. 26th, 2011.  At that point I'll pick a winner via Random.org and the winner will have four days to get back to me or I'll be forced to pick a new winner.  Please, if possible, leave your e-mail in the following format....

someone (at) somewhere (dot) com

To avoid spam bots picking you up and allow ME to have a way to get back to you if you win.

This contest is open to legal residents of the USA so go for it people (if they have Fred Meyer/Kroger affiliates in Canada, feel free to enter too...I'm just plain not sure about that :).

Enjoy!

We are finishing a house remodel to sell(probably AFTER the holidays) and so my decorating this year will be extremely simple and mainly consist of less things and less clutter. A few battery-operated "candles" and of course, the sweet smell of Christmas goodie baking!

Our Christmas decorations are all up already (have been for a week!) and we are in full Christmas mode! With the new baby arriving any day now, I figured we better get it done now or it might not happen at all. :)

I'm a teacher in the bush, so I wont be here for the holidays. I don't plan on decorating my house but I'll decorate my classroom Wednesday.

The decorations probably won't get up until December, after my oldest's birthday.

We do not have our decorations up yet. I may not put up everything as we are leaving for the holidays so I don't want to have put them away when we get back. I may put up just a few :)

Some of our decorations are still up from 3 years ago....Daughter put them up, she can take them down!! (involves tall ladder, not my idea of a good time)
Other decorations will start going up next week, full on fun second week in December.

We're traditionalists. Our Christmas decorations will go up the day after Thanksgiving. that is if I can get the house cleaned enough to pull out the boxes.
