Prepping for Spring (Gardening): The incredible egg!

Thanks to Instructables.com for use of the image!
I read this in one of my magazines and loved the idea as it will help you to waste less, still get your seeds started and honestly who doesn't love seed starters that are instantly plantable AND you know EXACTLY what is in them.

Go HERE where Instructables.com shows you how to make your own seed starters out of just plain old eggshells.  And the best part is that you could literally just start saving your eggshells (you might have to be a bit careful to crack them right, but it's not like you don't have time right now until spring *laugh*) and save yourself a few bucks buying peat containers.

Also, if you don't mind a bit of "iffy" in what is contained in the containers you can also use Egg Cartons as Seed Starters (thanks to Growing up Creative for sharing that tutorial :) as well.

I'm SO looking forward to Spring right now with the terribly cold temps, winds and just generally "crap" winter weather, so I thought I'd pass these tips along :).
