New Alaskan Bargain Hunter Giveaway!

I was so excited to get this Spark in my e-mail...but trust me I'm a complete food nerd :).
Here's direct from the e-mail I was sent...

"Whether it´s for an afternoon in the backyard with friends and family or a block party in the neighborhood, it´s time to start thinking about which delicious dish you´ll be dropping off at the picnic table. Rather than bringing the usual potato salad or coleslaw, add excitement to your party plate by spicing up traditional summer salads with Betty Crocker´s Suddenly Salad® mixes.

With Betty Crocker Suddenly Salad mixes, you can whip up a unique and delicious side dish in the time it takes to boil pasta. Each box of Suddenly Salad comes with ready-to-cook pasta and a seasoning packet. Put your own spin on it by adding your choice of mix-ins to create a one-of-a-kind pasta salad that will wow your guests. With seven different flavors, including new Greek, you´re sure to find a family pleasing favorite that no one will ever guess isn´t made from scratch!

For great recipe ideas and to learn about the different varieties of Betty Crocker Suddenly Salad mixes, visit http://www.suddenlysalad.com/. There, you´ll find great recipes, including one for Greek Tossed Pasta Salad, using Suddenly Salad Caesar pasta salad mix, and Garden Ranch Pasta Salad, using Suddenly Salad ranch & bacon pasta salad mix."

Betty Crocker, through MyBlogSpark, were nice enough to offer me and one of my readers a "Suddenly Delicious Prize Pack" like the one pictured above.  The prize pack will include, a sample of the newest variety, Suddenly Salad Greek, a storage container, a serving bowl and an insulated tote.

I am super duper excited to try the newest flavor of Suddenly Salad.  I LOVE this stuff and barely ever buy it because it goes on sale cheap so seldom :).  I just bought some of the Basil Pesto flavor at the store a little bit ago though and it's currently sitting in my fridge for dinner tonight...so the timing of this Spark could not have been better *laugh*.

So, if you'd like a chance to try the new "Greek Flavor" of Suddenly Salad with me (not to mention get a cool tote, storage container and bowl) leave a comment after this post and tell us what occasion you'd like to get your salad for, even if it's just "for dinner Tuesday night because I'm cool like that".  Or share what recipe you'd like to use the salad in, or heck what do YOU do with Suddenly Salad at your house?  We usually have ours straight out of the box, prepared to package directions and eaten with a freshly grilled steak (yum!).  Tonight we'll be having it with grilled moose backstrap.  Woohoo!

This giveaway will start today, May 26th and go through June 2nd.  I will then choose one winner via Random.org June 3rd.  The winner will have till June 7th to get back to me (just to give you guys some time since it IS summer and all).  If I don't hear from the winner by June 7th I'll pick a new winner June 8th.

So, there you have it folks.  This giveaway is open to all legal residents of the U.S.A.  So, go forth and put your entry in the hat!  And good luck!

Definitely a plus for the extended family get-together at the lake. The kids once asked why we eat better when we go camping....

@ Beffy,

It comes sort of like hamburger helper or something. You get a pouch of pasta that you cook and then they give you a list of ingredients to mix with your flavor packet and toss with your pasta. Mainly it's just seasonings and stuff. It's pretty basic stuff and I'm sure you could make up some kits on your own, but I'm lazy like that ;). And they don't taste bad...at least the couple I've tried anyway.

I like to make these in the winter when I need a good reminder of summer. Summer and pasta salad just seem to go together in my family. Plus I just add a few more noodles to make a larger batch since these things seem to have a lot of dressing mix.
